Fabek, Vince (1947-1991) was involved with magic, clowns, ventriloquism, balloons and puppets. His stage name was "Holiday." He was employed in the nursing field and lived in Colon for the last 17 years of his life. He was a member of the Puppeteers of America and the Howdy Doody Historical Society. A Vent Routine by Vincent Fabek
V - Hello everyone, I'm Vincent Fabek and this is my partner Leroy.
F - Hi there! I'm the other dummy.
V - I resent that!
F - No, you RESEMBLE it!
V - If you don't stop, you're going to look REassembled.
F - Then I'll look just like you.
V - What do you mean by that?
F - Well, you're a self-made man, and I use that term MAN loosely.
V - I'll admit to being a self-made man.
F - That's what I thought. You look like you have a few parts missing.
V - I've got a mind to. . .
F - I don't think so. I saw it laying on the table in the dressing room.
V - I wish I had a lower I.Q. so I could enjoy your company.
F - Well, if you're lonesome you could pal around with a half-wit so you would have someone to look up to.
V - Now that we've finished the family feud. . .
F - That's right, we are related.
V - What makes you think so?
F - Every time you scratch your head you get splinters in your fingers.
V - We are here to report on the Fashion Show we attended last week.
F - That was where we saw all those girls with the cute dresses they almost had on.
V - How did you like that girl model with the flowing blonde hair?
F - That was growing from each nostril? She looked like a professional blind date.
V - You must admit her left eye was fascinating.
F - Yeah, and her right eye kept looking at it all the time.
V - That's very good. We ought to team up and do a single.
F - That's O.K. folks. Let him have his fun. Tomorrow he'll be back on the garbage truck.
V - That's it. Back to the woodshed with you.
